Why is it called Tiny Desk?
Because the concerts really happen behind a desk. Tiny Desk Concerts is NPR Music's video series, filmed since 2008 at a desk in NPR's office in Washington, D.C., with the band squeezed in among shelves of records, books and toys.

The series
Tiny Desk Concerts started in 2008 at the desk of NPR Music host Bob Boilen. Artists play short, mostly unplugged sets with no stage, in the office as it is. The cramped desk and the shelves behind it became the look of the series.
Why the AI videos look the same
The Tiny Desk AI trend copies one of those concerts, Charlie Wilson's in 2023, so every version keeps the desk, the shelves of records and the red keyboard. Only the people change. Our generator keeps the room and puts you and your friends in the band.
Is this the real Tiny Desk?
No. AI Tiny Desk Video is an independent tool, not affiliated with NPR or Tiny Desk. To play a real Tiny Desk, NPR runs its own Tiny Desk Contest; we can't help you get booked.
